Built with a higher capacity and greater energy density, it feeds IONIQ 5 with 77.4 kWh of electric power. And it’s capable of handling charging speeds of up to 250kW, so you can take advantage of time-saving 800V ultra-fast charging⁠.

IONIQ 5 is just the first of our series of exclusively electric vehicles. And they’ll all be built on the same ingenious Electric Global Modular Platform (e-GMP). Not only is it flexible enough to be used for all kinds of electric vehicles, it’s engineered with cutting-edge battery technology. It’s how IONIQ 5 can even be used as a power source for bigger electric devices and appliances and is one of the few EVs that can support 800V ultra-fast charging.

Driving modes.

Use the drive mode button on the steering wheel to choose from four driving modes: Eco, Comfort, Sport and Snow.

Rear and all-wheel drive.

You can go with a rear-wheel drive IONIQ 5 which gives you a range target of up to 303 miles. Or you can choose the more powerful all-wheel drive option which adds a second motor to give you a combined 320 horsepower (239kW).
