Most modern trip computers help you drive smarter and more efficiently. You can see average speed, average and instant fuel consumption, and miles to empty—but the Sonata Hybrid technology display, with its 4.2-inch LCD color screen, takes the idea of control a step further. It displays the status of vehicle operation and hybrid energy flow plus available safety features such as Smart Cruise Control and Lane Departure Warning.
The Sonata Sport 2.0T and Limited 2.0T trim levels start with 18-inch alloy wheels and larger front brakThe standard 7-inch color touchscreen audio system and available 8-inch touchscreen navigation system both display rearview cameras and include HD Radio™ and Hyundai Blue Link®, plus Apple CarPlay™ support and Android
It’s not just the battery and electric motor that makes Sonata Hybrid a more efficient vehicle. The Sonata Hybrid features a 2.0L 4-cylinder engine that runs on regular gasoline and offers Gasoline Direct Injection (GDI) for smooth acceleration and efficient cruising resulting in improved fuel economy with an EPA-estimated 45 Highway MPG.
Make every road a more beautiful place. Turn a parking lot into a scenic viewpoint. The Sonata Hybrid exhibits a sleek, sculptured design that achieves a class-leading lowest 0.24 coefficient of drag.
Part of designing a hybrid that’s more beautiful on the inside is giving you a better view of what’s outside. With the available power tilt-and-slide panoramic sunroof, everyone can get their daily dose of sunshine, fresh air and vitamin D.
The standard LED Daytime Running Lights and LED taillights not only look great but also increase visibility. The available HID Xenon headlights are a brilliant upgrade, while the available automatic High Beam Assist feature automatically switches from high to low beam headlights when an oncoming vehicle is detected by the forward-looking camera.
The Sonata Hybrid's cabin offers the most total interior space in its class.* It’s ergonomically designed so that driver and passenger amenities are within quick and easy reach. The dual automatic climate control offers custom settings for the driver and front passenger. Steering-wheel-mounted audio, phone and cruise controls keep you focused on the road.
Part of designing a hybrid that’s more beautiful on the inside is giving you a better view of what’s outside. With the available power tilt-and-slide panoramic sunroof, everyone can get their daily dose of sunshine, fresh air and vitamin D.
The driver seat has an available 10-way power adjustment with power lumbar controls to make even long trips seem short. There’s also an available 6-way adjustable power passenger seat. The standard dual automatic temperature controls are nice in any weather plus the available heated front seats provide extra comfort when the temps turn cold. When the weather warms up, the available ventilated front seats help cool things down.
Brilliant design and a more compact battery that fits in the trunk give the Sonata Hybrid the most passenger and cargo volume in the Midsize Hybrid Sedan class. That’s more room than the Toyota Camry and Ford Fusion hybrids. And that space-saving lithium-ion polymer battery comes with a lifetime warranty from Hyundai.

The available navigation system features an interactive 8-inch touchscreen or drivers can use voice-recognition to get directions without distractions plus a world of music and content options. In addition to the features of the standard touchscreen, you’ll enjoy SiriusXM Travel Link® which allows you to search for nearby businesses like gas stations, ATMs or restaurants. It also gives you a clear picture of current traffic situations, the weather, stocks and sports, all in real time. Plus, it can even let you know fuel prices and movie times.
This available radar-based system helps detect when a vehicle is in the driver’s blind spot and provides both an audible and a visual alert to help keep you aware as you move down the road. When reverse gear is selected, Rear Cross-traffic Alert helps identify and warn the driver of vehicles approaching from the sides. Lane Change Assist measures the closing speed of an approaching vehicle in the adjacent lane to determine if changing lanes is safe and if it’s not, gives the driver an audible and visual warning.
This standard feature offers added protection for the driver and is just one more innovative element of Sonata comprehensive passive and active safety systems.
Compared to the battery used in Camry Hybrid*, the Sonata Hybrid uses a polymer gel as the electrolyte in its battery. This allows for a thinner and lighter casing, which translates to more cargo and interior volume. It also discharges more slowly to maintain available power longer than nickel-metal hydride batteries.
