The manifold and turbine housing of the Sonata 2.0T twin-scroll turbo is one cast stainless-steel piece. Its highly advanced design helps minimize lag and makes this powerplant lighter than a conventional turbo engine while putting out 245 horsepower. Specifically engineered to recover even more energy from the exhaust than a single-scroll turbocharger, the Sonata’s turbo improves combustion efficiency, and provides low-engine-speed efficiency.
To set this feature, just push the button located on the center console below the shifter. When the available Electronic Parking Brake is set, it disengages automatically once the gas pedal is depressed. And there’s an Automatic Vehicle Hold feature that will engage the parking brake automatically after the brake is depressed, without your foot on the pedal.
No more fumbling with the key when you've got a key that enables your car to recognize you. Approach your Sonata with the available Proximity Key in your pocket and enjoy the ultimate convenience. Unlock or lock your car, start the engine with the push of a button and go.
Make every road a more beautiful place. Turn a parking lot into a scenic viewpoint. The Sonata Hybrid exhibits a sleek, sculptured design that achieves a class-leading lowest 0.24 coefficient of drag.
Part of designing a hybrid that’s more beautiful on the inside is giving you a better view of what’s outside. With the available power tilt-and-slide panoramic sunroof, everyone can get their daily dose of sunshine, fresh air and vitamin D.
The standard LED Daytime Running Lights and LED taillights not only look great but also increase visibility. The available HID Xenon headlights are a brilliant upgrade, while the available automatic High Beam Assist feature automatically switches from high to low beam headlights when an oncoming vehicle is detected by the forward-looking camera.
If you need to take a call while driving, now you can and keep your hands on the wheel. The Sonata’s standard Bluetooth technology with phonebook transfer gives you hands-free access to your phone with convenient voice-recognition control.
The Sonata has more passenger and total interior space than any other vehicle in its class. In other words: There’s plenty of room for five, plus luggage.
Sonata’s available rear side sunshades are integrated into the door panels, so they’re out of sight when not in use, and can be easily raised by hand. Designed to help block out the sunlight, it’s a feature that adds privacy while shading passengers from bright sunlight and it’s especially useful for families with small children.
Apple CarPlay takes the things you want to do with your iPhone® while you’re driving and lets you access them right on its built-in touchscreen display or ask Siri® to assist. You can get directions, make calls, send and receive text messages and listen to music all in a way that lets you stay focused on the road. It’s easy, just plug in your iPhone and go.

This available system helps detect vehicles in the driver’s blind spot and provides an audible and a visual alert. When in reverse gear, Rear Cross-traffic Alert helps identify and warn of vehicles approaching from the side. Lane Change Assist measures the closing speed of an approaching vehicle in the adjacent lane to determine if changing lanes is safe and if it’s not, gives a warning the driver can both see and hear.
This standard feature offers added protection for the driver and is just one more innovative element of Sonata’s comprehensive passive and active safety systems.
With Sonata’s available navigation system you can use voice-recognition or the 8-inch touchscreen to get directions. SiriusXM Travel Link® lets you search for nearby businesses like gas stations, ATMs or restaurants. Plus, get a clear picture of current traffic, the weather, stocks and sports, all in real time. It can even let you know fuel prices and movie times. And it’s also Android Auto™ and Apple CarPlay™ compatible.
Available distance sensors embedded into the rear bumper make parking as simple as driving. They produce a warning sound for the driver if the rear of the car gets too close to any object.
