The Elantra sedan bucks the conventional approach in a big way. It starts with a fresh take on Hyundai's signature hexagonal grille placed above a front bumper with advanced aerodynamic features that result in .27 coefficient of drag.
A 2.0L 147-hp, lightweight, high-tech engine is standard on the SE and the Limited, plus an updated 6-speed automatic transmission. And because there’s more to performance than power, we boosted fuel efficiency by using more advanced high-strength steel throughout the body and adding design features at both the front and rear of the Elantra.
You’re in control. Drive Mode Select adjusts both engine mapping and steering. Select from three modes: Normal, Eco or Sport, by simply touching a button.
With its highly efficient 4-cylinder engine and a more responsive 6-speed transmission, the Elantra sedan can take you farther on less fuel. Up to an EPA-estimated 38 MPG on the highway.
This available feature makes loading and unloading your Elantra more convenient. The hands-free smart trunk opens automatically when it senses the Proximity Key is behind the vehicle within three feet for approximately three seconds or longer.
Drive friendly. Elantra’s High Beam Assist makes nighttime driving safer and less stressful for everyone. This automated feature is essential for driving two-lane roads at night as it dims your high beams instantly when it senses oncoming traffic. It keeps the road safe for others and offers everyone better visibility, which means safer, more confident driving.
The Elantra Sport shows everybody its good looks. The 18-inch alloy wheels with 225/40 tires grab plenty of attention and asphalt.

Features Siri® voice control and is designed with select apps that meet your driving needs. It also works with your Elantra’s touchscreen.
Elantra offers Infinity® Premium Audio with Clari-Fi™ Music Restoration Technology. This technology restores the audio quality lost through the common practice of digital compression. It can help you feel the power of your music at whatever volume you choose, wherever you go.
You talk or touch. Your car unlocks or locks, even starts, before you get in. That’s the beauty and simplicity of the remote features your smartwatch or smartphone can do using the Hyundai Blue Link® Connected Car System. It offers an innovative suite of features that come in handy every time you drive.
Elantra offers plenty of available active safety features to help you prevent accidents. These advancements include Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, Lane Departure Warning with Lane Keep Assist, Smart Cruise Control, plus Blind Spot Detection with Rear Cross-traffic Alert and Lane Change Assist.
This available advanced safety feature uses a camera and radar sensor to scan for vehicles and pedestrians in the path of your Elantra. If a collision is imminent and the driver does not react, the system deploys Automatic Emergency Braking. The system can even apply full brake-force stopping power from 5 to 50 mph, giving you an added element of safety. When a pedestrian is detected, full stopping power is automatically applied from 5 to 43 mph.
This available radar-based system helps detect when a vehicle is in the driver’s blind spot and provides both an audible and a visual alert to help keep you aware as you move down the road. When reverse gear is selected, Rear Cross-traffic Alert helps identify and warn the driver of vehicles approaching from the side.
The available Lane Departure Warning may inform you when you begin to drift outside your lane without signaling and help inform you with an audible and visual cue. Additionally, Lane Keep Assist may even apply corrective steering assistance, providing you with yet another feature designed to help you arrive safely.
